Job Curator for International Students
One feed for Korea-internship listings that match international students' actual constraints — visa, timeline, geography.
Overview
A web-based platform tailored for Korean international students studying in the U.S. who want to apply to internships back in Korea — built to address misaligned recruiting timelines, visa limitations, and the lack of internationally targeted postings on Korean job boards.
The system crawls major Korean job platforms, integrates the Wanted API, filters duplicate listings, removes expired postings, and standardizes multi-source job data into one consistent feed. After launching the initial version solo, I led a 6-member team to maintain and scale the platform — directing system maintenance, data validation workflows, and content expansion. We also coordinated alumni outreach to collect internship-preparation insights and integrated those into the platform as structured informational resources to help students prepare beyond just finding the listing.
Technologies
What It Does
- Aggregation. Crawls major Korean job platforms and integrates the Wanted API into a single curated feed.
- Cleaning. Filters duplicate listings, removes expired postings, and standardizes multi-source job data into one consistent schema.
- Prep resources. Alumni-sourced internship-preparation insights integrated as structured content alongside listings, so students get context, not just URLs.
- Targeted for the audience. Designed around the specific constraints international students face — recruiting timeline mismatches, visa limitations, and the gap in internationally targeted Korean postings.
